Vince Chiu

Vince has always loved mechanical design and robotics, from attending Lego robotics summer camps as a kid to designing and programming robotic prostheses and exoskeletons in his graduate research. He strives to create intuitive, robust, and sleek designs to solve complex and challenging problems. He is excited to join Tortuga and have his experience in mechanical and mechatronic design contribute towards the company's societal and environmental goals. He holds a B.S. degree from UC Santa Barbara and a Ph.D. degree from Stanford University, both in Mechanical Engineering.

Vince loves the mountains and spends his free time rock climbing, cycling, and occasionally playing bass guitar.
