Brian Cairl (they/them)

Brian hails from Huntington, New York where they live with their partner Rena and two cats. They hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering. Since graduation, Brian has worked at several robotics startups in the warehouse automation space. They have focused on various domains in robotics including navigation; perception and machine learning; and robot systems architecture. Brian joined Tortuga to apply a passion for C++ and robot software development to sustainable agriculture.

In their free time, Brian can be found making music, poking at videogame software side projects, running, or helping Rena pluck garlic on her farm plot.
